Why an Outdoor Aviary?

*A safe outdoor environment is essential to the well being of pet birds. A routine whereby pet birds are taken outside to their very own environment for several hours during the day brings many benefits.

*This is a far better scenario than pets simply waiting for hours on end in a bird cage until their owners have quality time for them.

*Some customers have claimed that feather picking was reduced or even eliminated by giving their pet safe outdoor access for several hours per day.

*Additionally, substantial savings can be realized from not buying as many toys and simply bringing into the aviary large limbs that are routinely acquired from tree trimming. Hook bills love to chew fresh wood and to dismantle the leaves from the branches.

*Perhaps the biggest benefit from investing in an outdoor aviary is the savings in time and frustration cleaning up parrot messes.

*These highest-quality aviaries are designed to set on inexpensive concrete blocks, existing decks or a slab. A water hose easily and quickly cleans the base with a moment or two of spraying.

*Up to 80% less food mess, dander and droppings inside the home can be achieved.

*In addition to all this, there is the aesthetic value. These aviaries are beautiful. They appear more like garden furniture than a bird cage. Simple landscaping and perhaps a sitting area can do much to enhance the enjoyment of your backyard or pool area for your family and friends.

General Aviary Specifications:

The panel frames are constructed out of heavy duty 1 in. square wrought iron tubing. Wire is available in 12 and 8 gauge diameter. Once the panels (and other parts) are fabricated, they are then engaged in an expensive galvanization process that offers customers maximum rust protection. After that, they are powder coated with non-toxic material that also includes UV protectants to help the finish hold up to constant outdoor exposure to the sun. Each panel connects to its adjoining panel with a simple welded hinge pin and welded receptor on the adjacent panel. There are no screws or bolts to toil with at all when assembling the aviary panels. The thickness of roof panels is 16 gauge, making for a very heavy duty roof. They easily fit together with a tongue and groove design and then bolt to the tubing perimeter with stainless steel screws. Safety catches easily attach to door panels of aviaries and allows for safe access in and out of the aviary.

Roof Setup:

The curved roof support beam has holes drilled every six inches or so that will accept a 2" S hook. The holes run the entire diameter of the aviary.
The other support beam runs straight across and allows for a chain or rope to be wrapped around it for hanging lots of fun toys.
