Nestbox is constructed to Audubon specifications of kiln dried inland cedar. Oval hole size is 3.75 x 3 inches high. There is a wood ladder on the inside of the house mounted to the front panel for the ducklings. Ventilation slot in roof keeps interior from overheating. Included wood chips serve as nesting material to help protect eggs. House should be mountd on a tree 10 to 20 feed above ground within 1/4 mile of water. Suggested placement sites are marshes, ponds and lakes.
Clean out the old nest yearly (via hinged door) after the ducks have vacated the nest.
