In addition, we encourage you to review these related articles (they’re especially useful if you’re unsure what cage type is right for your bird and your circumstances):
- How to Buy a Bird Cage (Comprehensive article on how to select a bird cage)
- Bird Cages by Species. Select your species (Parakeet, Conure, etc.) from our Cages by Species feature and pick from among bird cages suitable for that species.
- Bird Cage Buying Guide. This guide helps you through the two most important considerations when shopping for a new bird cage—cage dimensions and bar spacing.
Assuming you have a general idea of the bird cage (dream home) you want, buying buy that special bird cage is hassle-free—just follow the steps below.
1. Finding the Right Bird Cage — by Category, by Bird Species, or by Search
Customers can find the perfect bird cage by simply perusing our general bird-cage categories, which include appropriate subcategories based on size, design and location. Alternatively, you can shop for bird cages by species—just pick your bird and peruse cages available for that particular species. Customers love our bird cages by species feature because it eliminates guesswork and provides expert bird cage recommendations for major pet-bird species.
If you know the bird cage name/brand or an item number (item numbers start with a “PA”), our search feature quickly locates the bird cage you seek!
2. Buying your Bird Cage, Selections, and Options
Once you find the bird cage that’s right for you and your bird, other important selections and options are presented to help you successfully complete your purchase:
- Cage Covers — Bird cage covers are known for improving birds’ overall health and well-being (read more about the importance of bird cage covers) and that’s why we offer a variety of really cool,
high-quality bird-cage covers. And, they’re made in the USA. We sell bird cages and
bird cage covers separately, but highly recommend that you buy a cage cover when ordering your bird cage—you’ll save money (with free shipping) and time (no need for a separate visit).
- Sizes — Bird cages are often available in several sizes, so be sure to choose the size that’s right for your bird and the circumstances.
- Bar Spacing — Note that the bird cage you select may have several bar-spacing options, and you’ll want to choose bar spacing that’s appropriate for your bird (learn more about bar spacing).
- Colors — Almost all of our metal bird cages feature several color options (except stainless steel cages), and we offer a nice variety of appealing powder-coated cage finishes. The colors available appear right on each bird cage product page—so don’t forget to choose the color that fits best for you (your bird won’t care).
- Toy and Accessory Packages — Birds like to play (duh!) and need bird toys to play with! In fact, bird toys enhance your bird’s mental stimulation, physical activity, and health and happiness. So, we’ve taken the guesswork out of buying toys and accessories for your birds’ dream home—by offering each of our bird cages with its own selection of bird toys and accessories. These Bird Toy and Accessory Packages are optional, but we urge you add a package when ordering your cage to ensure your bird’s comfort and peace of mind. Plus, they ship with the bird cage! So, be sure to click the box to add the toy and accessory package to your order, and see more accessories by clicking “The Accessories” link at page bottom.
- Replacement Parts — Why buy a new bird cage, when all it needs is a part? That’s why we sell parts for all of our bird cages——and why customers really love us! We save customers time and money by offering a wide selection of bird-cage parts. It’s wise to have some cage parts on hand, because over time normal wear-and-tear takes its toll. Bird cage replacement parts can be damaged (like a caster or a tray or a half-eaten wooden perch). You may not need spare parts now, but at some point you’ll wish you had them handy—rather than searching, ordering, and waiting for parts to arrive. The most popular bird cage replacement parts our customers add to their new bird-cage orders are perches and trays.
Ordering commonly needed bird cage replacement parts is easy too! Just add them to your order when selecting your other bird cage options, or see all of our bird cage replacement parts organized by bird cage type and add them to your order separately.
Whatever the issue, we offer any replacement part your bird cage needs. So, why not take advantage of the free shipping and buy some extra replacement parts for your bird cage! Most of our experienced customers already know this and buy extra bird cage replacement parts when purchasing a new bird cage. This is so smart—you get free shipping, parts ship with the bird cage, and you save time and money by not reordering later. (Remember: because our Free Shipping offer is for orders of $50.00 or more, your future bird cage replacement parts-only orders will likely not be eligible for free shipping.)
